Couples Therapy
I support couples struggling with a breakdown in communication and compatibility, intimacy struggles, and overcoming infidelity.
My goal is to get you to where you and your partner want to be, and be able to embark on a journey together towards a future that you both want to be a part of, together.
My approach is an integrative one. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Imago Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, and the Hakomi Method, which is mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy. I also use Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, Schema Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support you and your partner as you both (or all) embark on your journey together, towards your best selves, as one single and strong unit.
The most important part to my approach is that I meet the both of you where you both are – in the moment we meet. I adapt my approach based on your unique relationship and the stage you are both in when we meet.
I am connected to a lot of incredible therapists, so should you want routine/weekly individual counseling in addition to meeting with me as your couples therapist, I can arrange for that for you and/or your partner with a therapist that shares my ideology, so you are getting the best and most fulfilling experience that ensures you are on the strongest and most positive road to a better life. The truth is, the healthier you are, the healthier your relationship with your partner will be.
All lifestyles, and all kinds of relationships are welcome and should feel 100% safe in my office at all times. I routinely work with monogamous relationships with same sex or opposite sex partners, and with polyamorous relationships with same sex and/or opposite sex partners. My focus is each of you, as a unique and beautiful people, and your relationship as a unique and beautiful bond, period.
